Who we are
Welcome to Smiths Beach Surf Life Saving Club
The Surf Life Saving movement in Western Australia was founded at Cottesloe Beach in 1909. Since then 31 Surf Life Saving Clubs have been established around our coastline, with some 20,000 volunteer members, contributing to their local communities.
In 2011 ‘Smiths Beach’ became affiliated to the movement, in so doing, became WA’s 29th club, operating from the iconic Smiths Beach. With equal focus given to the four ‘pillars’, Training & Education, Lifesaving, Sport and Development, we are a family-friendly club, with programs for all ages. The Club meets on Sunday mornings, from early November to late March from 9am to 11am.
