Woodside Nippers
Aside from our commitment to volunteer patrols, our awarded members also provide water safety for our Nipper and Youth programs. This is a deeply rewarding role, not only do you contribute to the safety of junior members undertaking their weekly activities, but you can also impart your skills and knowledge adding to their development. There are several ways in which you can get involved, depending upon your own experience and ability. The club will provide training for each level, as follows: First Aid Certificate holders are always required whenever we undertake any beach and water activity. Training is provided for members that wish to undertake this. Nipper Adult Assistant and Nipper Rescue Certificate are two great ways for parents to get involved and provide additional safety resources, with training delivered on the beach. Surf Rescue Certificate and Bronze Medallion are nationally recognised awards which require more in–depth training and a skills assessment, which equip you to provide the full range of water safety and support.
