RADIO OPERATORS CERTIFICATE

Course Description: Provides participants with the skills and knowledge to perform basic communication practices.

Outcome: Radio Operator

Pathway: Participants can continue by undertaking the Surf Rescue Certificate.

Pre-requisites: 13 years +

SILVER MEDALLION BASIC BEACH MANAGEMENT

Course Description: Provides participants with the skills, knowledge and experience to manage a beach in emergency and non-emergency situations.

Outcome: Patrol Captain

Pathway: Participants can continue by undertaking the Beach Management Award.

Pre-requisites:

  • 17 years +
  • Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) / Bronze Medallion
  •  Be proficient in one of the following:
    • Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) / Bronze Medallion
    • Operator Certificate
    • Advanced Resusciation Techniques Certificate
    • Resuscitation Certificate
    • Defibrillation Certificate
    • Senior First Aid Certificate
    • Spinal Management
    • Surf Rescue Certificate (CPR Endorsed)
