The Smiths SLSC Annual General meeting was held on Sunday 3rd August. It was well attended and great to see existing members stepping up into board positions and others present at the meeting willing to lend a hand in the other various roles to be filled. 

Our new president is Warren Brown. Warren has been (back) at Smiths for the last two seasons and has been instrumental in getting the cadet program at Smiths off the ground and providing the ‘missing link’ between the nippers and senior parts of the club.  Everyone who has worked with Warren across different areas of the club would agree he is an excellent fit for the position. Janelle Thompson has stepped down form her role as President and is happy to hand over the reins so she can focus more on the coaching and competition space which is where her passion lies. We thank Janelle for her time at the top. 

Having been in the club for a couple of years, including as an Age Manager last season, Ben Mee has stepped up into the role of Director of Juniors. Dion Todd who has held this role for the last four years, will take a step back and support Ben in the position. Thanks Dion for all the hard work you have done in coordinating and building the Nipper program within the Club.
